Christina Smith, Chef/Owner of Pastry-Ology, began baking at an early age with her mother and grandmothers. Born and raised with a strong work ethic and Mid-West values in Wichita, Kansas, she attended Newman University. In order to pursue her true passion of pastry and all things sweet, she packed up everything and moved to Florida to attend the prestigious Notter School of Pastry Arts. While there, Christina studied European Pastry and Baking under chefs Ewald Notter and Isaac Tamada. After graduating at the top of her class, she joined the team at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando, where she created "Rock-n-Roll" desserts and amenities. She continued her education and expanded her talents by attending continuing education classes from Laurent Branlard, Olivier Bajard, Jean-Pierre Wybauw, Colette Peters, Marina Sousa, Andrew Shotts, and Vincent Pilon.

In a quest to fully utilize her expertise and further challenge herself, she joined the team at the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott Grande Lakes. She gained years of experience plating and producing restaurant desserts, mass producing and plating desserts for banquets and weddings, making VIP amenities, and then designing club-level desserts and candies.

Christina's creativity and skill level has won her distinguished accolades, including two gold medals in the Festival of Chocolate Plated Desserts Competition and Chocolate Showpiece Competition.

True to her entrepreneurial spirit, combined with her experience and ambition, Christina has ventured out on her own to follow her dream of Pastry-Ology.

Pastry-Ology is a Tampa based bakery that specializes in handcrafted edible art cookies for personal or corporate celebrations. In addition, we offer many other varieties of elegant and delectable sweet treats to satisfy any sweet tooth!
